日本の民謡 蛍の光
明治10年代初頭に小学校の唱歌を編纂する際に稲垣千頴の歌詞により蛍の光が出来上がったと言われています。学校で同級生と共に卒業式の頃に歌ったのを思い出す方も多いはず・・！誰もがメロディーを歌える懐かしい曲です。

作曲家は誰？
実はもともと昔から伝統的に語り継がれているフォークソングだったそうで作曲家が不明なのです。 1788年にスコットランドの詩人であるRobert Burnsがこの歌を文字におこしたものがないので、自身でまとめてthe Scots Musical Museumに送ったというのです。
